Easter stuff!

Okay, so I officially rock this year. Last year, I purchased *everything* needed for 2 beautiful Easter baskets - 75% to 90% off! Score!!! I pulled everything out, and it's reeeeeally cute stuff. Really nice wood baskets with an embroidered liners, too. Just darling! All I had to add this year was candy. :D

Sophie had her egg hunt today at school, and an Easter bonnet parade, as well -- Here's what I did for her hat... Dollar store hat, dollar store bunch of flowers, and some assorted tidbits from my craft box. FUN! Oh, and that bunny on her head is one of the pins from our "bunny bowling" game. hahaha!

I couldn't resist this picture -- The sun was so nice and warm, and my sweet wittle chunky Ziggy was sunbathing. I love kitty whiskers in the sunlight!!!

Aaaaaaaand, here are the cupcakes we made for Sophie's turn to bring snacks.

I had a LOT of help 'washing' dishes when we were done.

Buy a white cake mix, split it up, add some color, and then scoop it into the liners!

Almost done!!

Aren't they pretty? Great for Springtime, Easter, or as gifts to a bunch of hippies!

I thought this one was special (you can see it on the bottom left in the picture above, too.) When the colors blended as they cooked, I ended up with one that had a little pink heart on it. *sweet*

FUN FUN FUN! You can do this with a big, regular cake, too. Rainbow colors would be FUN!

All I did to ice them was take a canister of regular frosting, melt it in the microwave for a bit (fairly thin), and then dip each cupcake into it. I let it drip for a second, set it upright, sprinkled it with confetti sprinkles, and stuck a jellybean in the center.

And finally... HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!!!!!
