HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

So, yesterday was *my* Mother's Day. It was really nice, too. We invited family to come over for grilled burgers and dogs (and veggie burgers) and all sorts of good food. The weather was DIVINE, and the kids played outside and we all had a good time.

Chris took my babies to one of the local pottery places to make me some gifts for Mother's Day. I got a wonderful *huge* coffee cup with my babies' handprints on the sides of it, and Sophie saw a porcelain kitty that she just HAD to paint for me. She even put little paw prints on the bottoms of his feet! It's sooo sweet. They each also made me some really fun cards and lots of homemade things (the best!). Sophie's teacher helped her make a tile with a photo of Sophie on it, and it turned out really sweet.

I know I'm loved, and it shines through the eyes of my husband and my children, and I am so incredibly lucky for that.

I'm just so very, very thankful that these children were given to me.

Isn't this cool? They took pictures of the kids and Modge Podge'd them to a tile. :)

I get so tickled to see pictures that they've drawn of us. It's even more fun now that Bryce can join in on the fun.

This is the bag that Sophie decorated for the tile. I love that she drew a picture of the two of us together on the front.

And the cover of a book she drew for me called "Momma's Noo Kittin"

Bryce's picture of me. HAHAHAHAHA!!!! See the little dot there on my cheek? It's actually supposed to be on my arm. (The other day, he went with me to have a physical at the doc's office, and they had to draw some blood. Guess he had to include that.)

And my precious hand-painted gifts! My coffee mug is AWESOME and will hold soooo much coffee!!!! YAY! My kitty sits on my desk and stares at me while I work. I call him my "good luck kitty." Sophie was so tickled that the girl at the porcelain studio said, "Nobody's ever thought to put little paws on the bottoms of his feet!" My creative girl!

The ONLY thing I'm really truly bummed about is the fact that we let the day's festivities get away without me getting pictures with my babies OR my mom or Chris and his mom!!!!!!!

However, we did manage to shoot a few of the little ball of baby that was at our house...

This is Amber's first Mother's Day. I hope she had a good day with us. Chris actually set up the portrait lights and muslin since Amber's been wanting some body part photos. Little stinker peed on me, barfed on me, and made a mess of the muslin. We had to explain to Amber that the muslin's been peed on by every kid that's had pictures taken on it... almost. LOL! His little laugh was infectious, and it was fun to take pictures of him. He was a good boy for them!
