October ~ October brought a few school events. Bryce did "Muffins with Mom," and Chris had to attend with a camera for me because I was in school. *sniffle* I went in the morning of before going to school, though, so that he could hand-deliver the sweet little picture and questions he'd answered about me that they'd done in class. I also attended a "Cowboy Luncheon" with Sophie's class. She looked so cute in her braids, cowgirl hat, and boots.
We signed up to display the kids' collections for October and November at our city's library. Sophie had a kitty collection (jewelry, silly bands, Littlest Pet Shops, other figures, TONS of stuffed animals, FurReal Kitties, etc.) Bryce has November and is proudly displaying his Super Mario Bros collection. The boy has TONS of SMB stuff, too!
Halloween ~ The kids had a great time! I had two Smurfs on my hands. I made their costumes this year. Sophie was Brainy Smurf, complete with glasses and a book. Bryce was Vanity Smurf, complete with mirror and flower. I made their costumes from white sweat pants, blue t-shirts. I even made their hat and accessories! They racked up on candy and really enjoyed it this year. Both of them were super about saying "Trick or treat" and "Thank you" as they went door to door. We carved 2 pumpkins - one with a kitty for Sophie and one with Mufasa (from the Lion King) for Bryce. The boy is CRAZY about Lion King right now!

Something I truly DID NOT want to forget, which is the main reason I'm typing right now instead of composing the remainder of my Medical Terminology study guide for tomorrow's test is the fact that my sweet BABY boy lost his first tooth last night!
It was soooo wiggly, but he wouldn't really mess with it. Well, yesterday I'd noticed that his adult tooth had broken through the skin behind it, not unlike Sophie's crazy shark teeth. As loose as it was, I asked him to come into the bathroom where I loaded Orajel all around it. I used a piece of tissue and firmly lifted up and out, and that little pearl came right on out with it!
He was SO tickled and excited about it, too.
This morning when he woke up, I heard him over the monitor (yes I still use them because of the split floor plan). He was excitedly calling "MOMMA!!!!!" and knocking on the wall for me to come in there.
Here's the sweetest part -- He was SO convinced that he'd seen the Tooth Fairy at the *VERY* moment she left his money. When he lifted his pillow up this morning, the 2 dollars were stuck to the bottom and fell to his mattress just after he lifted it.
In *HIS* eyes, he'd just seen the "invisible Tooth Fairy" drop his 2 dollars on his bed!!!
I was beside myself. It was so doggone cute that I could've just sat there forever in his bed with him talking about how he got to see, at the VERY moment, when the Tooth Fairy left him his two dollars.
